Vintage parsimmon #2 wood solid dark burgundy insert, 4-screw diamond pattern, brass soleplate shows HB logo and registration number 24R3031. Manufactured by Hillerich & Bradsby, circa 1951-1952. Harlequin head is hand carved in basswood and painted in a decorative decoy style with taxidermy grade glass eyes.
Note: an “oldie but a goodie” - a #2 wood in persimmon from the early ‘50”s is very rare which makes this piece a “hole-in-one-of-a-kind” keepsake!
